Tiafoe, Kudla Enter Final Day of Australian Open Qualifying

With two successful rounds of qualifying in the books at the 2017 Australian Open, JTCC alums, Frances Tiafoe and Denis Kudla, are both one win away from coveted spots in the main draw.

Frances, the no. 2 seed in qualifying (ATP #107) faces fellow American and no. 25 seed, Tim Smyczek (ATP #137).  The two have battled three times previously with Frances holding the advantage with two wins, though they have never met in Grand Slam competition.

Denis heads into his match as the slight underdog seeding-wise,  facing the no. 10 seed, Lukas Lacko of Slovakia (ATP #122).  However, Denis looks to capitalize on a successful history against Lacko, winning 2 of 3 matches lifetime including a win over him at the Delray Beach ATP event in 2015.
